The Washington State Tree Fruit Association, in cooperation with the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA), will hold a Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Train-the-Trainer Refresher Course on February 14th, 2023, in Richland, WA. There will be 2 concurrent sessions in English and Spanish.
The Train the Trainer Refresher course is designed for WSDA Certified Trainers; however, non-trainers can also attend the class to learn about how to become a WPS trainer and get the most updated information about WPS. In this class, attendees will receive information on the main points of Worker Protection Standard, they will also participate in exercises related to training methodologies. We will offer four (4) Pesticide Recertification Credits during each class.
Note: To continue issuing the WSDA WPS Training Verification Cards to agricultural workers and pesticide handlers, Certified Trainers are required to refresh their training and skills and update their knowledge on WPS every three years. Certified Trainers can do so by either attending the 5-hour WPS Train-the-Trainer Refresher course OR by re-taking the full 2-day WPS Train-the-Trainer course.

Full payment of $80 registration fee must be made at the time of registration, lunch and training materials will be provided. The registration fee is non-refundable. We ask participants to please stay home and notify us if they feel sick.
