Worker Protection Standard Train-the-Trainer Course

The Washington State Tree Fruit Association, in cooperation with the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA), will hold a Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Train-the-Trainer course on March 8th and 9th in Richland. Participants who successfully complete the mock training at the end of the workshop will become WSDA Certified Trainers and will be qualified to issue WPS worker and handler training verification cards. Nine credits are offered for licensed individuals. Participants are required to show a current WPS Pesticide Handlers Card signed by a WSDA Instructor OR have a pesticide applicator license before signing up for this course.
When: Wednesday, March 8th AND Thursday, March 9th, 2023 – 7:30 am to 5:00 pm
Where: Holiday Inn Richland on the River, 802 George Washington Way, Richland, WA 99352
There is a minimum of eight (8) attendees required for each language session for this training to be held. If the minimum attendance requirement is not met, this training is subject to cancellation.
Registration will be limited to two (2) people per company due to limited space, additional names will go on a wait list. You can register on our website, wstfa.org and please indicate the language of preference (English or Spanish) at the time of registration. Lunch and refreshments will be provided both days.
Full payment of $125 registration fee must be made at the time of registration. The registration fee is non-refundable. Handler cards (signed by WSDA instructor) or Pesticide applicator license will be requested at the time of registration.
